Ranger is better because of the high damage potential that you have at a great distance, keepeing you safe from bosses that are very melee based, like eoc, queen bee, plantera, etc

Mage is better beacuse of the insane amount of dps you can deal with certain weapons and buffs, again by keepeing you from a distance from bosses and enimies that need contact in order to deal damage

Summoner is better because it allows you to not even attack at all, even tho its not as effective must i say. It also give a great range of weapons to use not only stuck on the summoner class, you can use any weapon you want to help with the dps, i myself am a summoner who uses a zapinator
