I think celestial cuffs gives mana when damaged and increases mana pick up range. What I'm about to say is my personal preference, you can disregard it if you want. The mage class is in the second lowest in terms of overall defense, so getting damaged is more detrimental to this class than it is for melee or ranger, so it's a better idea to avoid getting hit altogether rather than capitalizing on getting hit in this case. I think a better alternative is magnet flower (I think this is the name), combine celestial magnet, a mana potion and a nature's gift

Well if you're melee, I recommend frost armor and shadowflame knife, I managed to beat all mechs on master with that once. For destroyer, don't let the drones build up on the screen and avoid getting hit by his head, it deals a truckload of damage. For skeletron prime, break his arms one at a time, the attacks happen at fixed intervals, getting the time right can allow you to survive long enough to outlive the arms. For the twins, each enrage at 50% hp, avoid getting both enraged at the same time, and they take turns attacking the same way as skeletron prime's arms, time them and you're set.
