This is a general tip for destroyer, prioritize defeating the probes first. As destroyer gets damaged, he releases more probes, they're not exactly infinite, but if you let them keep piling up, it'll be an uphill battle. Also, destroyer might be immune to any and all debuffs, but that doesn't apply for the probes themselves, so take advantage of that

Also, watch out for its head, the contact damage it has there is insane

Bananarang and shadowflame knife are a good choice for the probes, drippler crippler and dao of pow are good for damaging the multiple segments destroyer has as well

im trying to build a base for my self but i cant seem to think of a good structure. Like I got used to putting all the crafting tables together, a bit unorganized, once going into hard mode are there instances where you just need one table and not the rest? Or are there a few where they’re optimal together and others separate? I cant seem to figure that out online. I wanna have things ready for hard mode and not rush after yk what I mean?

You'll need almost all crafting stations so I put all of them in one room together. (EX: Furnace, anvils, bench, loom, cooking pot, saw, alchemy table, sink, etc). But I put the special crafting ones in random rooms/in their corresponding biomes. (EX: Honey dispenser in the jungle house and ice machine in the snow house). I keep my fish, ores, boss summons, and herbs/important crafting mats in the same room and put the rest of the items in storage under the house. Renaming chests helps a lot to keep things organized.

I usually separate things based on how I use them. For example, I have a chest with only materials used for potions, then place an alchemy table near it. That way I can craft any potion I want from chest. Or place only bullets and certain materials in a chest, and near it an anvil, so I can craft ammo from it whenever I need

The rest is logistics, you should pick a layout that you're comfortable/familiar with

Watch out for the forehead eye, a few seconds after it opens, it begins to space out, that's your cue for when it's charging the phantasmal deathray, so be ready to go over it or teleport out of the way with ROD. Make sure you don't stay in one spot for too long, otherwise the screen will fill up with hurtboxes. Do not outrun him by too much or he'll just teleport to you. If you're using an asphalt arena, make sure you move some space above the ground so you can hit his heart on phase 2, or use some weapon that hits things behind blocks
