There was supposed to be an update last year where the first half was content, and later adding crossplay. That has been delayed until some not yet revealed date this year.

Target Closest locks on to the nearest enemy to you, helpful for general play to keep enemies off of you, this lock on will switch its target if an enemy is closer than your initial target
it can also be good on bosses like Brain of Cthulhu, Eater of Worlds, Destroyer and Queen Slime

it is good yea, just have to get used to using it, better to double tap the movement stick in the direction you want to dash

it can be a massive life saver when you need a quick burst of speed in a clutch, although the knockback if you hit something can sometimes be annoying

that's how it's used in all versions, Mobile doesn't really change anything in this case

it's a mobility accessory, you use it for extra mobility

the only real notable one is King Slime's Slimy Saddle, it helps a lot for vertical mobility, especially helpful for bosses that dash straight at you, and it can also be used to fall down faster, as an extra way to dodge faster or for travel
might have to put your mount button in a convenient spot for quick use of that though

for that, i would just recommend getting some type of general weapon that has good range, like a bow

and get good mobility to get away from him, like Hermes Boots, or a hook, even a Minecart would work

having a fairly flat area to fight him in would also help a lot

tbh, i almost died to him too. and i fought him 3 times. i had finch staff ( for a finch that does small numbers, it helps out a lil.) , gold helm and chest, silver grieves, and star fury. definitely stack up on health pots. he does alot of dmg.

atm, i've got full demonite gear. trying to get the hell stuff

king slime imo, is only kinda worth it if your gonna go after EoW or whatever the crimson boss is afterwards.
