Anyone able to help me figure out why my room isnt registering as a valid room, despite being surrounded by identical rooms, and all of the rest are apparently valid, with identical shape and size, and even the layout of furniture?

I'd post some screenshots, but i am apparently not allowed to here, so i'll have to find someone who is knowledgable and send the screenshots in dm.

It seems i can make it a valid room by removing a door and replacing with blocks... there are doors on both sides of the room, and, it's working fine in the two rooms below, but in the top room, it fails the room check... :/

So my best guest is that it has to do with the floor, having one solid tile to stand on, that's not in a doorway

There are three free non platform tiles, two at doorways, and one just inside. The pattern is identical, amongst 9 houses - the rest are all happy, but the top middle one says no.

If you count those tiles with furniture on as well, it's 4 solid blocks.

This isn't some wierd space saving vertical build or anything, it's just a bunch of identical block rooms in a starter base block of flats.

I should probably also point out im not a beginner. I've played terraria for so long i remember the 1.2 release, and the addition of hardmode. Whatever this is, it is not a rookie mistake.

This is basically a starter world, i've done the getfixedboi seed before from a pure start character, and limited to one world. This time, i started up a standard world to get a kickstart for pre hardmode.

The aim is to jump across once i've got a few tools, such as some money, and the molecart.

The one thing that does make a difference is if i remove 1 door, suddenly it becomes valid, but i chose this design because you can move in any direction through the houses.

Changing the door introduces a blockage.

It seems like it's some wierd thing where it wants more solid blocks used as walls than door/platform blocks. If i remove platforms one at a time, it fails at the point where the number of solid block walls becomes equal to door/platforms.

Which one is the best will depend on your playstyle, one is a sort of chain whip, and the other is a thrown spear that causes overtime damage

I don't remember which is which by name, but I personally think the whip is better, even though it's a bit tricky to hit with
