Corruption spreads REALLY fast on sand, I really struggled to fully purify deserts without digging a lot of tunnels around it, and then had to make sure the one separating everything under it didn't grow vines

So beating the mech bosses helps decrease the spread rate, but you also get the steampunker who sells the clentaminator

It's the most reasonable way. The tunnels really do help, and trying to wall off biomes, but eventually you really want the clentaminator

And you'll also start to get more comfortable making&changing biomes when you get better gear and aren't being swarmed by hm enemies

Those are great ideas in general for the biome. I was trying to think of what could use the lighting&biome, but be disconnected from mushrooms altogether. Since, I think you could prevent any actual mushrooms from growing, just having the blue grass up next to something like bricks.

I did try to build an A-frame house but it further confirmed that what I really want is an end game character so I'm not constantly frustrated by enemies and movement.
