The dash is longer than SoC and doesn't cause you to bounce off targets you hit, which can often be more disadvantageous than not having it.

If you don't want to frustrate yourself I'd say to get the chum caster fishing rod. It gives you increased chance to hook blood moon enemies. There is no minimum required amount to fish the dreadnautilus but it is kinda rare so the more the faster you should get.
