I'm pissed. I took HOURS trying to quarantine my villages from corruption and hallowed before entering Hardmode. I just killed the wall of flesh and now I get to the surface to find both my snow and jungle biome being taken over. And if I don't fix the situation quickly the corruption from the snow will spread to my main base. So frustrating.

HOW TO STOP CORRUPTION

A large diagonal stripe of Corruption will generate in Hardmode. A single Hellevator will stop it from teaching your main base. Alternatively, get several dozen Sunflowers, place down lots of Dirt Blocks and grow Grass on them, then plant the Sunflowers. They reduce the evil score of an area, and block grass spread, so even if the evil spreads under your Sunflowers and to your base somehow, it'll most likely not be able to make the homes unusable.

Once you beat a Mechanical Boss, the Steampunker will be able to move in, selling the Clentaminator, which can spread or purify biomes from afar. It's got a large range and will quickly remove any Corruption in your way, just in time for you to return to the Jungle to hunt for Life Fruit and Plantera's Bulbs.

I don't like it either, because it's instant and you can't do anything to control their angle. If you want to control their direction, you have to back up the world, beat WoF, reset and replace the world file. I'm pretty sure it's done to ensure you have a world evil to get materials from, especially Souls, and to keep you on your toes when re-entering formerly safe areas.

I severely underestimate potion. So did a test on how much wof can do in mt and its 30. So i pretty much put my remaining my accessories in warding but then when i fight wof with potion literally did 1 damage (my warding contributes but almost all of my accesory is already warding) why did i just realized midway of Master mode that potion is vital? You can get Palladium as an stopgap between pre-Hardmode armor and Frost/Titanium. It's got decent defense and damage, but a very nice regeneration effect.
