While looking for those keep an eye out for demonite or crimtane ore those can be mines with gold/platinum pickaxe

If you can survive jungle blade of grass is amazing weapon early on made with stingers and vine

Another thing is look near gravestones there will be orange looking flower called abigails flower its a summon item really helpful early game

It's an Expert and Above drop and the only way I know is through sword shrines... You can get the Arkhalis or Terragrim depending on your luck ( both are same, just Terragrim has slightly lowered damage output )
