Aim the cursor at the enemy then use that yellow arrow button, you should then see 3 yellow arrows around the enemy, which means your character is locked on that enemy. Once the enemy is dead, your character will not lock on to the next.
Pressing the yellow arrow multiple times when there is more then one enemy on screeen will allow you to scroll between enemies.

Learn to double tap extremely fast de movement thing, double tapping up makes u jump, tap and holding up makes you fly (if you have wings). To the sides makes you dash if u have Shield of Cthulu
The aiming button may help some times, but always check which enemy is it focus on so you won't have frustrations

Been messing around with control scheme customization and thought I’d share something that feels pretty good (done from 1.4.3)
Moved the jump & attack buttons above the inventory to make pressing them way easier while still using left & right sticks
Makes the game feel a lot closer to PC - if anyone wants to try this out here’s the file for it
Only thing is that you’ll have to manually move your inventory pages down from interface editor, but otherwise it should work right off the bat
If you end up using this scheme LMK how it feels compared to default
