my god, I got f**ked by this game on the switch again.
So I died to skeletron. No worries, I'll just force quit the game and start over, to recover my explosive bunny. Apparently that caused my game to roll back a bit to just before I re-assigned two npcs to my mushroom biome, and conveniently the action where I stored all my items in a chest near the ocean closest to the dungeon. Now I lost all my main items, AGAIN. First time the game crashed right after I died fighting skeletron, and all my dropped items were gone too.

I think I'm done with this game on the switch. Never encountered stupid shit like this on the PC version at all.

Well, that appeared to be what happened the first time around. Game was getting choppy during skeletron fight, I died, there was a mini stutter, then on respawning the game froze.

Uhh, prep beforehand? But if you don’t want to restart I’d recommend going through it normally. Getting Hardmode ore, killing Mech.

Yeah that might work but if I start on another world then switch to a world with higher difficulty it’s just a higher chance of me having to restart because it is still hardcore if I die that’s it so if I have to do all the bosses twice then I just have a huge risk of dying and a lot of time wasted

Oh straight hardcore master?

When I did that my tips are no doors on the base, three levels high. Don’t leave at night until you have a ranged weapon. Literally everything can kill you so focus on getting Hearts, Stars, and looting Chests. Most of all, POTIONS. Those will save you in a bind. Try to upgrade your character as op as possible before fighting the next boss. Do it in layers, any powerful sets get them before the boss. Watch YT tutorials, Find what works best for you, and most importantly have fun, it’s a game not a stress machine.

Oh yeah, and always keep an eye on your health, you go through it like water.
