The long explanation is that Journey Mode lets you duplicate stuff freely (assuming you research it thoroughly enough first) and alter the game in other ways, like changing the difficulty whenever you want.

#

The catch is that Journey characters are only allowed in Journey worlds. Likewise, non-Journey characters can’t enter a Journey world.

water candles or battle potions both increase mob spawn rate, and yes that includes critters, this can be seen in journey mode as well, as when you increase the spawn rate it increases the rate of hostile monsters spawning as well as critters like butterflies, bunnies, birds, etc.

I build without godmode. I only use journey so I have infinite resources (assuming I've fully researched them ofc)
It's more convenient that way. I have minions to deal with the enemies for me. In godmode they would never leave and I'd have to kill them anyway

That’s how I did it when I started Journey. I did Classic difficulty for exploration and Expert for bosses, and then I just stuck with Expert because I forgot to set it back to Classic.
