So it's definitely open, but too much so

Also it goes from level surface up to 340', which is what I originally spawned at

So to give advice, I made a platform about 100 blocks wide up off the ground. That and Hermes boots made eye of Cthulhu easy to navigate around imo

If you get the arms dealer and get the minishark as soon as possible, the rest should be easy
