Life fruit don’t spawn near each other every often so keep that in mind. They will also show up on your metal detector if you have one. They are somewhat illuminated by the spelunkers potion but only as a sparkle.

My personal method is fooling around for a while after killing the mechs giving the fruit time to spawn(make sure this time is still being put to use). Then going to the jungle with spelunker potions and checking my metal detector constantly. When I see it say life fruit detected. I stop and look in the dark areas for the sparkle.

Not good DPS the swing speed really isn't that fast and by the time you can get it you can get the terra blade which pretty much is good till the end of the game cause by moon lord you can use solar eruption
