Start doing some quests, basically anglers armor which is obtained in specific quests completed which you don’t have to worry since they aren’t obtained randomly and basically anything fishing related you obtain from him could be used, one of the best and most easiest fishing pole (disclaimer can only be obtained in hardmode) is the sitting ducks fishing pole from the traveling merchant, if he sells you one and you don’t have a hotline fishing pole, buy it from him

There’s a way to cheese plantera with a honey dip, heart lanterns, campfire with some defensive and offensive buffs using fetid bagnakhs dropped from crimson mimics, I would also recommend you use mechanical glove as it increases melee speed
