Im with Discy on that statement. I never bothered to even try duplicating anything. If you ask me, its a bit risky to even try to bother duplicating anything. Why take the risk of losing the valuable item youre trying to duplicate? Its a risk that i dont want to even consider taking.

Well in my case, there are some items in Terraria that id never be able to obtain legitimately becauss of the requirements that are needed to obtain said item. Its mainly the items that have any connection to Fishing Quests. Meaning id never be able to get the Cell Phone, Hotline Fishing Pole, Golden Fishing Rod, or Golden Bug Net legitimatey. Its also the case with any weapon/item thats extremely rare and/or difficult to farm for, like the Coin Gun, Dungeon Guardian Key, or Rod of Discord. The only way id even have any of those items/weapons is if i was given them, which i was in a way. And its items like these, along with endgame weapons, armor, tools, accessories, etc, that i dont like to risk duplicating since theyre practically invaluable in my case.

We both have Full Crimtane Armor, 400 HP, and are waiting for you to return to thr world with us so you can catch up, and also use the Treasure Bags to get us the Worm Scarf from the Eater of Worlds since we cant spawn it in a Crimson World, but its on the same progression tier as ths Brain of Cthulhu.
