I don’t know if this is the right place to put this, but on the Switch version of Terraria, if you loot (quick-grab with the ‘-‘ button) Defender Medals from a chest, it crashes your game. Grabbing them normally and placing them into your inventory avoids this issue, but its happened to me 3 times so im spreading warnings!

If that doesn’t work…I don’t know what could be the issue. It is possible that the game is just bugged.

It's recommended to do some of the early game bosses and the evil biome boss before you take on Skeletron or Wall of Flesh. You can also try to get a weapon/weapons that are better than what you have right now if you want. One more thing, beating Skeletron gives you access to the dungeon, which has some things that are pretty helpful.

Those are for expert/master mode. When you defeat the wall of flesh it may drop demon hearts and they give you the extra accessory slots. One for expert mode one for master mode. They will not work in classic mode
So if you get both of them in Master mode and you switch to a classic mode world they will not work

I don’t have one to trade, but if you increase your luck, you might encounter it sooner. Also, a Lifeform Analyzer will tell you if they’re close by.
