As long as you have that, you can just re-download all your game data to a new switch. Everything else that can't be backed up like specific games or media files that aren't already on the SD card will be unfortunately lost unless he can find a way to temporarily turn it back on to do a quick transfer.

If you can transfer your data from the old switch to the new one before signing in, it should save everything.
If you have an SD card that has some data on it, that could also help with restoring things you lost

12 stingers, 15 spores, and 3 vines
You’ll have to kill hornets or spikes slimes for stingers, kill man eaters for vines, and dig deep underground to find the glowing spores
Once you get the weapon it will be easy to take down the first two bosses

I also recommend collecting 16 life crystals
Maybe a few extras
The reason I say this is 15 for your maximum of 400 health and 1 for the vital crystal
You get it by throwing it into the shimmer
You find it on the same side of your jungle
Pink and sparkly and impossible to miss
You find life crystals randomly underground but they’re more common in the blue glowing mushroom biome
Be careful for trapped chests though
They have a lot hooked up to them that can kill you

Go down into the dungeon and if the first chest is golden, find a key, unlock it, and get the muramasa
You find keys in pots or dropped by dungeon enemies
The dungeon slimes have a 100% chance to drop a golden key
If you want to keep grinding, get a second key and look for the cobalt shield
It will grant you immunity to knock back and can be combined with and obsidian skull at a tinkerer’s workshop
To get the workshop you’ll need to defeat a goblin army and look for the bound goblin underground after having beaten it
You can either wait for them to spawn after hitting 200 health having already beat the eater of worlds, or you can go to the edges of the world and kill goblin scouts for tattered cloth and craft the goblin battle standard at a demon altar with 10 cloth and 10 wood
