For example when building a box it’ll accidentally place a platform on top of a platform and then I need to mine to remove it. Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity or how does one fix this?

terraria wiki is invaluable when you first start because of how complex terraria is

trust me if you think your ready for a boss 9 times outa 10 you isn't so build and arena (platforms that you can jump to or a large flat surface you can run across) get potions and buffs and most importantly get a female character your hit box will be smaller

The king slime isn’t really a necessity, but if you want a set of mediocre armor and a slime you can ride on it’s worth it.

It's one of those things that probably made a ton of sense during development. They ended up adding a bunch of hints in the npcs dialogue, and the fact that the voodoo demon drop can fall into lava on its own, especially when you don't know to look out for it is very informative, lol. A lot like the dungeon guardian

Prehardmode is also satisfying enough on its own to play for a long time, too. If anything, I'd say that watching other people, esp youtubers, can may make you think the only important thing is beating the next boss. If you don't know you have a ton more waiting for you in hardmode, whatever waiting at the end of the WoF isn't so interesting.

Though tbh, I'm probably just trying to justify my 120hr prehardmode character. I haven't even explored all the dungeon yet.
