i can give you an advice, first of all, you can get a lot of powerfull items even pre-hardmode, such as the terraspark boots, also, i thought queen bee was harder than skeletron but it isn't really, so i would suggest you get queen's items to fight skeletron, also, you can make an arena tha consists of using minecarts to travel even faster, don't forget to use potions and stay the furthest you can from old man when you are about to summon skeletron
