I tried journey mode

but ngl if you set the spawn rate to 10x on master difficulty in FTW, you got yourself a nice Challenge

Most of early game is hiding or sleeping to make night pass faster

Make sure you have some recall/return pots on you at all times, in case you get ambushed

The rest of early game is finding ways to avoid enemy confrontation unless necessary

I decided to do drunk seed instead of FTW, but I still like it

If you wanna do other bosses too,for prehardmode you can do King slime first, and Eye of Cthulu before skeletron. Queen bee probably after skeletron.

You do need to create an artificial Corruption/Crimson biome to get entries for the world evil your world did not generate with.

Unless your world generated with both evils.

master mode only offers extra pets compared to expert for most bosses, however in hard mode, you can start to get better stuff from bosses (or event bosses). SantaNK1 from frost moon can drop a smol tank mount that automatically shoots at enemies while ur in it. In the pumpkin moon event one of the bosses drops a broomstick mount which is very good.

They are the only two examples from the top of my head

Oh and master mode has 1 more accessory slot you can use

I'd say best option for this fight is not damage but speed of attacks/projectiles and fire.
The fire is good for hurting creepers as they fly around, and when the brain is in its 2nd phase, the fire damage slows it down when trying to run into you.
You will want the high speed of attacks for the same reason, slowing the brain down in 2nd phase. A high quantity of projectiles (e.g. minishark) is good for dealing bits of damage to all of the creepers
