They can't add it until every version is on the same update, and seeing how they keep adding stuff to PC, with console and mobile being behind this stuff, the chance of that is slim

They could just do console only, but Switch could be an issue regarding updates for all the console systems since it's very different from Xbox and Playstation

True it could also be an issue because nintendo rarely has a game with cross platform with stuff like xbox

I dont see a lot of them that work with multiple platforms

not sure if Nintendo has a problem with crossplay for games as there are a few games with it on multiple platforms. Part of the issue for most big games on switch is that it's a weaker system, so it can't run games as well as the other two without compromises, hindering the experience. It also probably costs a bit more to get a server that supports multiple platforms running than a it would for just one.

It's mostly a matter of if a developer thinks it's worth their time or not
