They didn’t even nerf the damage on it either, they just needed the total ammo since it having 8 Mags and killing Chargers in half a Mag was busted as hell.

The main issue is not that the weapons are now bad (though that is kind of part of it), its how the devs have treated the game

I kind of agree and disagree. Arrowhead is a small studio, but at the same time, while I dont agree with most people, they have a large target audience that they are practically ignoring, and most game developers would probably shift their focus towards catering to that, but Arrowhead hasnt. The game also is in this weird area (in my opinion) where it feels like it does not quite know what it wants to be, since we have gotten a lot of mixed signals from the developers.

But I also just really fucking hate the community as well, and they honestly give me less motivation to play than the actual game itself.

I think the game's largest issue is that it is still delisted in many countries, preventing people who refunded the game (because they had to) from repurchasing it. Second to that is the somewhat poorly designed progression. I think Helldivers 2 was over reliant on new stratagems early on in the game's lifespan. Now that they have dried up the game is less fun, as there isn't as much to work towards and you get to play with less stuff. I think keeping upgrades from the first game as opposed to the myriad of weapons variants we have now would have helped alleviate this issue. Balance is an issue, but I feel that the community is incapable of properly communicating what exactly is wrong. I have more issues with the prevalence of elite chargers (they render many anti-tank weapons obsolete) than I do with the flame thrower nerf (which I mainly dislike because it makes stun grenades even better than they already were).

Place the "bottle of starlight" into the blue rift (as in the image) to get a second rift.

Rifts can be used to transfer items between runs.

Kill wandering trader when it holds milk if under attack of a zombie, it rarely drops the milk bucket.
Sell the milk bucket to the wandering trader (as of the trade re-balance) to get emeralds
Use emeralds to buy oak saplings from trader. Get crafting table and apple.
Use emeralds to buy dripstone from wandering trader.
Kill zombies to get iron, make a cauldron. Combine lava + dripstone + cauldron for renewable, endless lava.
Get a cauldron to fill with rain water, pour this out as water liquid to get obsidian.
Use the wood + lava to light the nether portal

It's possible to get a witch to throw a splash weakness potion at a villager + gold from the nether + apples to cure zombie villagers and get a proper village. This is useful for general survival.
Standard nether procedures after that, get 3 wither skulls and 4 soul sand, fight the wither for a nether star. Obsidian can be obtained as an item from piglins. Make a furnace in the nether with blackstone, buy sand from wandering trader with emeralds, smelt sand in furnace in the nether to get glass.
Diamond pickaxes can be crafted from diamonds in nether fortresses or bought from villagers. All villager workstations can be obtained. Use it to mine for ancient debris. Find gold in the nether. Combine into netherite ingots. Craft these into netherite blocks

Now the test is to see if anyone will actually do this

That's not the game itself, that's the new DLC. Gearbox wanted to unify the code-base between versions to make it easier to update, which is a good idea, however they did it in the worst way possible and made the PC version (that worked insanely well) more like the Console version (which was broken), which, as a result, turned a functional game into a non-functional game.
There are multiple different ways to soft-lock your game and some of them are so stupid that it makes you question how Gearbox didnt even consider or test anything. Warped Echo and Chronic Expansion soft-lock Mythrix. Seeker can soft-lock Mythrix. Longstanding Solitude can soft-lock you in the Golden Isles. Connecting a controller for couch co-op deletes your save file despite it being the main advertising point for the update/DLC. Xbox couldnt even get passed the main menu for 3 days before it was fixed. And for some players, the only selectable character is Commando.

But of course, this is only a SMALL portion of what Gearbox has done to fumble the bag.

I havent down-patched yet. Im just using community mods to fix everything.

Gearbox has announced the new patch but has not released it yet and the community modders fixed it faster than they did.

There is even an item rebalance mod that fixes a lot of the issues with the items.

The issue is that Gearbox bought out a game and have no understanding about how that game should work. The community has had years to learn and innovate which is why they were so quick to fix it.
