And I may be able to lower it a floor by condensing the furniture and moving the stairs
I’ll just tear it down to the first floor and work back upwards
Like I never considered if there’s enough space for a kitchen here
Super quick spooky tower build. Gonna add cellar at some point. Anyone have suggestion for what material to swap my roof with?
Ooooo
this was supposed to just be a starter house but its taken me a lot longer than I thought it would :p
love the colours of the roof
same!
thats how it always goes
anywho, what kind of oven would fit with a beach house...
i could do outdoor kitchen or a wood stove, but what kind...
oh I forgot that one exists :p
hmmm...i think ill go for a more rustic style oven like these, but i need to figure out how to make one...
dresser painted black for the stove. painted mahogany fence for the pipe
thanmks! I spent a bit too much time up there
i mean, there's lots of dressers
i was thinking maybe the meteorite one?
though i also found this one online, but im trying to identify the blocks
but what about the fire part of it, cant tell what wall that is
yea its really hard to tell what it is
in any case you could probably just use any wall with a moving texture as the back wall and move on
I use either the meteorite or the granite dresser for my stoves
granite is a great furniture set
usually have to paint it, but yeah I like it a lot
where would i put like, ideas i have that i want to share but not anything i've made (specifically something i saw in a dream)
i mean, i think here is a good enough place?
is this too much? im stuck on what background wall to use for the backplate
stuff like what this has
i need something with low wall priority i guess
you could use imgur, that's what most people use
like that back portion where a shelf is
anyone know any good gothic wallpaper? Im struggling to find one on the wiki
im messing with the paints as well. still in prehardmode as well
i hate how few things you can put on a crafting table top
like i tried to put a cauldron on top of one and it just...doesnt work
im trying to make a 2 wide oven i can put it on top of
i wont have access to living fire til hardmode, so im stripped for options
here we go, i itterated on a design i found online
how's it look?
or maybe that platform going upwards is better
That looks pretty cool
here's the source material for the original inspiration, credit to this guy!
Finally booted my :red: onto the Terraria Forums so I’m making this my official first post and first thread.
Started doing builds in early 2021 after returning to Terraria and being inspired by the likes of Khaois and GandalfHardcore. Primarily have been posting on my twitter and Steam account...
but yeah, which platform looks better?
2nd looks more like a shelf id place something on
yeah, first looks more like a shelf, but 2nd gives that more 3d feel
idk why, maybe ive been staring at it too long
I also kinda just imagine first to be a shelf that goes / and ive never seen a shelf like that
Not in rral life
fair, ill go with that
here's another oven design i came up with
does it look like an old fashioned wood oven?
and next is a fridge/ice box
which...i have no clue how im gonna do
that looks decent
this is what i got for my kitchen, tried to make it look a bit 3d
issue is, idk what to put next
Green dungeon dresser painted brown
That looks amazing, by the way
for what
for an ice box?
ahh, like 70's?
I was thinking 30s enamel
or could go with a cheap metal fridge
like the first motorized fridges available
we need fridges
https://imgur.com/a/6Q9ebo8 my solution to the fridge problem: copper plating wall painted white with platforms for handles.
OOOO
i don't know why my steampunker spawned there.
guys is there a mobile version for the defender forge?
like smth that i can open on the go?
or can i buff from potions in there?
mb
and my thing is, i want a bit of an angle to it
that's fair and the librarian bookshelf works pretty well.
I'm reletively new to the whole building thing. So my ideas might be a bit off.
oo, that's really cool
a random decoration thing i discovered was to use inlet/outlet pumps as a metal thing
and paint it
Probably building a grand masterpiece
She's been offline for a long time
They might be busy with irl stuff
So for the time being
Let em be
Anyways
I'm nearly done with my own build
oh?
I just need to refine the top part
Then I'm done
looks fantastic. I especially like the spiral staircase. Don't think I've seen it done quite that way before.
That looks soo cozy. It has that studio ghibli vibes. How did u make that fridge?
if anyone wants free random building help dm me cause im bored, i wont talk
its librarian bookshelf
instead of a bookcase they just made it a giant book
me when my fridge has a person engraved on it
Finished this video up today. I hope this is the proper place to share it!
https://youtu.be/ydlr3hp8HbQ?si=9C3TOFxJGknCz3Ry
This is my first more longform style video like this, I hope you enjoy!
I have been planning this video for somewhere around two years now, but did not get around to making it until around two or three weeks ago.
Mic quality is not all too great, but alas, not much I can do without a good microphone.
May have missed a few issues, but I hope I co...
anyone got tips for building trees without the body looking goofy
i want it to be somewhat small but im down to make it a lil bigger if it makes it look better i should prolly experiment first and maybe shimmer the star cloak first 🙏
Current build projects in terraria(Mobile):
[Completed]
Planetoid draedon lab - Completed
[Time Taken:24 hours]
Underground tundra lab - Completed
[Time taken:11-13 hours]
[Ongoing]
Underground jungle lab - Next
Underworld lab - Coming soon
The Abyss ocean - Coming soon
Underwater draedon lab(replacement for sunken sea lab) - Will be built once abyss Ocean is complete
[Undecided design]
Spawn area(All four classes statue or big tree) - Undecided
I sense that there's something cool I can do with the attaic, but I don't know what
Any ideas how I can slightly alter this room to make it less flat? I think staircases seem too boring and I wanna play around with different room shapes
This is going to be a vanity room
Crates, cobwebs
Make it girthier
3 blocks or 2?
More or less done with the forest pylon. That's 3 down.
why did it take so many hours
Constant revamping
Uhhh I'd say to start with 2
Uhh alr jus got the trunk or do you say the branches aswell?
I mean if you look at actual trees the trunk is always bigger than the branches
I mean alright sure
Change of plans
The abyss ocean will be built next
I already have the shape after all
This is hilarious 😭
love it
AHHAHAHHHA
y not
figured it out myself, looked the most similar and then experimented with paint
i mean old fridges did tend to be a bit fancy
thanks
but yeah, i needed a 3 wide staircase to fit. the normal 5 wide design was...well, too big
You'd be jumping instead of normally going up
You'd be jumping instead of normally going up
thats the case with all spiral staircases tho
There's a better design u might wanna try
oh? do tell!
Aw, thank you!
Dang, impressive
been watching this on the side

show! Id love to see other ways of doing this
wait, mobile?? damn
plant an acorn
...
It took you
This long?
better trees
my brain just completely didnt register it
Wait wait
I have
the thought of builds so great coming from mobile
showw
You can look at nameless Deity's trees
no
Bark for me
look at irl trees and try to copy it block for block
i mean...look outside your window
or better yet
taka a photo of a tree
trace over it in photoshop
i see asphalt
then use that trace as an outliine
😭
terraria builders lowk so talented
id argue mobile is a test of patience
Now go, bark for me
:p
Oh yea I forgot
The top right one looks so close to my imagination of a large tree for spawn area
Yet I still cannot choose
Tall tree
Or each pillar class statues
How would it be a test of patience
forgot what it was?
I can build custom trees
I just adjusted them
But it's not that good
My phone is wide enough
and relying on touch screen for placement
u cant
again...im limited by horizontal space
That's a wisteria tree
these stairs are trash gen
do spirals
and nothing else
so space efficient
so cool
so amazing
even just the first vertical part is too wide
I'm planning to build something similar to it
meet potential stair:
"it looks good"
"its easy to make"
0 efficiency
0 space left
7 rooms taken up by random stair
always can and might but never is
genuinely trash
remove rails from the game
You can make a spiral looking staircase with simple platforms
so these shitty stairs are also gone
Real is bully
no
i tried the typical design, too wide
i needed this compact
ye
its what i did, but if there's other spital designs that could fit here id be more thaan up to try em
i could maybe spare 1 more block horizontally, but it'd make things look too cramped
do this spiral

true, but im worried about making it look TOO cramped
noway
impossible
it wont be cramped
Honestly just do something like this at this point
Simplicity is better than trying to make something "Extravagant"
this uses a 6 wide staircase and it isnt cramped
can u take a screenshot in color lighting this so cool
But different builders have different tastes so you do you
No I'm keeping my shi lag free
🙅♀️
eh, thats a bit too simple even for me
19th repost:
I'm forever sticking to Trippy lighting.
Simplicity at it's finest 🗣️🔥💯
Nuh uh
Mf made an entire copy of their Minecraft screen 😭
ight bro
plus...i debate between seaweed planter and bamboo here
or palm tree when dryad sells it
I will forever stick to trippy lighting
we know
🗿
Overrated
one is 2 wide, the other is 3
ah kk
id need to see the palm tree when i get it
but for now, planter
need the space
but yeah, staircase...the design i went with was born from necesity since i needed the dining table to be on the same floor as kitchen. otherwise it'd make no sense yeah?
who'd have their eating table on a different floor than their kitchen?
but i wouldnt mind trying other stuff for the stairs
Think this looks way better than what you had before. The kitchen makes it feel more real in a way.
Thank you!
man this story really needs some goblin armies, I like the visualisation you did
also put a lil trash bin by the fridge
like im having troyble with where the stairs connect to the floor. It just looks...off, idk
yeah, maybe that would help
slow progress id say
interiors
giving me a rough time as always
i mean it looks a bit empty
Daaaamn, this looks clean! I like the disposition of the attic
The walls could use a vertical support or 2 but it looks really good so far
workin on a simple hell pylon. I like that the master bedroom is large, but I don't know what wall to use or how to fill the empty space
pre cultic vanilla base wip
I love the chains!!!
this build is missing the goblin tinkerer hanging over the lava I think
ok jokes aside this is really nice
TRUE
Thanks. Saw someone build meaty chains years ago and had it in my back pocket since.
I remember when I got so scammed from him in getfixedboi that I genuinely crashed out and built him a rundown broken house of the smallest size in a hole in the ash ground in hell with a tattered sign saying "hole of the shameful traitor"
Gonna leave it here for now, unless I feel inspired to build more rooms or mini cages for the tinkerer or angler
OH WAIT I FORGOT THEY ADDED HELL PYLONS
It's a hell of a thing
background walls on this looks real nice
u should see my practice builds i do in tmod lol. 10000x better
What’s that roof? I love that shade of purple
shingles and hay painted purple
Could put your bed and piggy bank in the room you’re standing in
And put some crates in the attic room
The classic lol
Hey this is a cool looking bui- IS THAT TOBY RADIATION FOX
One sec let me find a pic of my build where I did the same spiral method
That’s how I did mine
But now that I look at it I don’t really like it 😭
This is the reference I used online
@merry elm I think yours may look weird due to where your floor level is
Perfection
Purple painted blue shingles and violet painted hay walls
At least I think it was violet
Ty
Such a nice purple
It is!
Deep but not murky
@dense pivot What are the wooden walls? Not the boreal or ebonwood
The thick horizontal ones
Thick horizontal ones?
The walls as in the background walls im gonna assume
Behind the left half of the workbench in the top room
Ash wood iirc
Gotcha
I wonder if the devs intended for brown painted ebonwood to be near identical to regular wood in color lol
Paints make most things not look like what they are
Yeah
There is granite furniture and blocks in that house
I used granite tables to make my windows have a semi circle at the top
Doesn’t perfectly blend in with the lead brick walls though
I forget what color the lead brick walls are painted
https://imgur.com/a/QetbU2C I've been building a little sky village kind of deal. The cloud base needs forming, clearly. but I think I like what i have here. I like the little bridge in particular. shout out to Hypermun for the idea of using the librarian bookshelf as a fridge.
Yeah, idk what kind of other stair to use
How would it look if you actuated the one where it's ment to look like it's curving back
Could add some depth
Lol it's fairly useless tho cuz demon conch
All of my pylon builds in my first expert mode world
https://imgur.com/a/puyVz9S
(now that I think of it i dont know why I captured them without the backrounds)
truly a hammer moment of all time
Idk
I'm just trying to build Terraria Calamity structures into vanilla
Now the next build I'm going to do is the abyss
Brown paint makes nearly all the wood match thankfully
Builds is generous
I'm gonna turn this hill into a glowing mushroom. What are some good blocks to use for the inside? Don't really want walls.
Tried living wood
I do quite like white painted mud
Jungle slop (my latest 2 builds)
If that's slop then I'm building with children's wooden letter blocks
Slop? Do we have the same definition of slop?! D:
cool
no u dont thats cool as i have ever seen
Maybe you go tell your friend to stop wasting people's time in dms to be a nazi
Hope he enjoyed his account getting banned
Also maybe pick a better chat to be a nuisance than terraria creations
Let's get back to the building, shall we
No you idiot I actually checked on google which way it was facing and it was the nazi way don't even try that with me lil bro
Tell him to get help I'm gonna go enjoy my easter lunch and not flood this chat further
Hah okay no apparently now you were on my computer alright wizard
Check out this pyramid I built
Nice
Back at it with mushrooms. Need to have one mushroom line in the foreground and one in the background. What is the best way to achieve this effect?
Wh what wdym line
Is this like a side view of a mushroom cap with the bulbous part sticking out?
If red line is darker, then the mushroom is leaning towards us (so you normally wouldn't see the inside/underside of it without mining)
If the purple line is darker then the mushroom leans away from us and reveals the underside
ohhh okay okay
Little easier to make look natural, and you can just actuate in that case, but I'mprobably gonna use the room for something so haven't decided
I dont know if I fully understand but probably actuators or darker colored paint
do you necessarily have to use glowing mushroom blocks? how about a block that resembles the texture of irl mushrooms, so you can have more possibilities
that too
I think if I make the red line the behind line, I'll have to use other blocks, perhaps grey living wood
Peak
i still wonder if what i did here helps to fix the stairs a bit\
with the planked blocks help to give it that 3d feel that its going backwards
what do yall think?
the windows on these are so damn cool
again, im limited in staircase designs due to horizontal space
i did manage to move it to the side and put a mini trashbin under it (using gray painted mahogany beam)
anything else i could add yall think?
i could try to add a wall cabinet, but idk if it'd compromise the angle or how id even make it
we need cabinet blocks...
just a 2x2 flush square chest type that can be stacked on top of each other and can be mounted on a wall
but yeah, now that side area...i guess it should be the dining area? living room? its tricky since its not much space to work with for both a couch and table + chair
and im very hesitant to extend the house any further inwards because...well
this is all the space i have to work with
i should have build the house more out into the water, but i build the boat first
i mean...maybe i could squeeze one or two blocks out to the right? though it'd be tricky to make it look like the sail isnt about to bash into the house
i know i overthink things a lot, but i am getting a bit tired of tearing all this down...and the loom there is just because i needed it
keep what
whats it looking like rn
this
i wanna do it floor by floor so i dont have to tear it down each time there's a part thats limited by the previous floor
what about like a
drink thing
just place decorative healing pots on platforms
and paint them
like logically, there would be a living/dining area there
oh
right?
yeah ur right
a couch and table?
i feel shifting the door 1 block to the left
would allow for a couch and table with 2 chairs
1 chair maybe idk
there's not enough room for all that, thats the issue
If you do this, furnituring becomes pretty easy I'd think. Can have a grander floor on top of this
ye, but im focussing one floor at a time
i think theyr struggling with the bottom floor
like the seaweed planter one
rn im doing bottom floor first since that will determine the size of the next one
genuinely just remove the planter
like, i can do this
yeah remove the planter to do that imo
does make it a bit cramped
that i was hoping could be a lil coffee table
and a couch being all the way over feels awkward, no?
i guess yeah
Kitchen dining areas are often more cramped so think this is fine. You could try a bar design too
and yeah i agree with this
It's normal level of cramped for context
true, i guess the left side im thinking more on the perspective of someone entering a house
Here's the go-to bar design I use, though I'm sure there are a million others. You can even use the furniture if you feel adventurous
heh, tho would a bar make sense in an angler house tho
like...why cant we have 2x2 tables...
work benches are the closest to that, in particular dynasty
i also tried using a crate as a table, but it felt too awkward
yeah, but thats 2x1
yea
furniture sample
yee, that stuff looks amazing
but my issue is i just cant fit it all with how things are now
i could move the living area to the 2nd floor
but wouldnt that be a bit awkward?
or move the dining area to the 2nd floor...
You could move kitchen up as well, make first floor more of an entrance or lobby area
that is an option, but i grew up in a fishing village. that's not how any self respecting fish shack would do things. you'd want to get your catch to the kitchen asap
just do a table and some chairs with food on the table and a lamp or planter next to it
and where would the living area be? upstairs i guess works still
I'd dedicate the rest of the first floor to fish related activities like gutting, eating, or more kitchen stuff. Adds a lot of flavor.
maybe i should look at vertical houses and how they're done
ah, i already have a plan for those, dont worry
Anyone like stockfish?
oooo, great idea!
like...does this kind of layout make sense?
or...
and the exact furniture is just a placeholder for now
i guess im just trying to think about this logically
and what feels like a big sin...no room for a window
this is how much room id have for it
you can make it not look like that and fit it in there
i mean...a full window with frame and shutters
i mean why would you have shutters next to the fridge?
why wouldnt you have shutters in your kitchen window?
it also is to serve as vertical window frames
again, not necessary for a window
i mean...this looks a bit awkward
it works better with wooden walls and stuff more noisy, but it doesnt feel like it works with this kind of wall
maybe it needs some actuated glass
i guess, one thing i wanted was to create the illusion of 3d-ness by having that wall behind the sink be a backboard
something about this doesnt feel right...
you extended the glass too far
just have it be that 2x2 space
then you could use a different wall to make it blend in better on the sides
Try hammering the platforms unless you want to put something on them
i dunno, it still just looks...off
add some plates on the table and some hanging lights from the ceiling
bottom of what
the cooker area
the stove?
yis
black painted meteorite dresser
like for the kitchen, if i wanted to respect the perspective, the window would be here
that looks so bad tho 😭
agreed
i dont know what i could do, the whole kitchen is at a slight angle
like...anything id do to one side of the window i'd need to do for the other
but the stove is in the way
i mean...imagine seeing a sink thats not centered on the window
could you paint the bit above the stove black? then you could make the sides of the windows wood walls for trim
i do not like putting the glass behind the stove there
yeah agreed
you could prolly solve it with more paint
move the wood one over left, extend the glass one over left
okay this is looking better, maybe something behind the plates there or a furniture piece on top of the bookshelf that would cover some of the trim and then a wall there
so...part of the fridge is sitting in front of the window
blocking the shutters and rim
god damn it you're right
yeah, logically this doesnt make sense
you could probably fit it in if you make a distinct enough frame
it'd maybe work if i could rotate the fridge, but i xant
if you think of it like shutters then it sounds bad
like, walls dont have priority or mixing or anything like that in this game
you cant get it to overlap more
walls used to have priority 😔
or well, priorities
i think they're still making a fix for that
like so one can spill into another
right yeah
but yeah...
and if i think of the edges as really wide frames, then it makes the sink look off center
but that's what I was getting at with the paint and the furniture, if you block enough of the wall then it looks less like shutters and more like a trim
like how the top of the window looks
also can we get a zoom out
I think its also important to look at how it fits with the rest of the build
like I don't hate it but yeah it is a bit off
yea
and...well, i feel like i should lower the ceiling if i dont plan on using that extra block of space, but at the same time that'd make doing the balcony hell architecturally
I personally liked this more because it all fit into its one specific area instead of having to overlap with the fridge
except it looks worse since it's not center
it is center
now you see it?
i see what you mean now, but that looks ugly still
what does, the sink or the window
I think, either you go with the 1 wide or just no window at all
and yesh, the window is too thin
both imo
well i didnt know how to get the sink to flush with the angle of the furnace and fridge
believe me, i tried every cabinet sink
the issue is that the faucet isn't correct then with that look
it doesn't match the perspective you're creating
true...
i was thinking it was one of those old sinks that had the faucet to the side
stuff like
it could be made to be believable if you see it that way, but you couldn't have the the window there then yeah
yeah...
next best spot would be above the dining room table
but now im thinking about the sink...
i cant use boreal due to how the paint works on it
this was the other best candidate
lemme rotate these things!!
but yeah, this doesnt look right either yeah?
i mean, i need a cabinet somewhere in the kitchen
it looks better imo, at least the sink part
like...the sink just feels off with this one
...yeah no this wont work, not the sink stuff
man i got on a tangent there
for now, back to the overall issue at hand
I dont know how to organize the dining and living areas
i feel like a window there looks awkward
or well...hmmm
i wish i could swap the planter and the clock around, but the clock is too tall for the window
stuff like this is why i debate if i should give the house an extra block or 2 of width
it'd mean tearing down a lot to move it over
but i dont wanna commit to that before exausting every option and planning ahead
How does it look with the blocks ontop of the window removed and the clock in its place?
How about some platforms for thr windoe frame
You could make it decently rounded with that
what do you mean?
little thing in general, i would use less palmwood, not the best looking wood
there are some furniture pieces of it that are nice but further more its pretty mid imo
i know, i just want that tropical theme
and its what i had on hand, ill probaably experiment with furnature types later
i mean, thats mostly dictated by the decorations used
in general ebonwood is a straight upgrade from palm wood in most cases
shade wood isnt terrible either, otherwise you can use large bamboo or ashwood. those look great aswel
hol on lemme cook up tropical build rq
oh i know, ive been mixing em in the whole build
you should see the ship i cooked up
but i do like palm wood floors
How many times has this build been torn down and back up :p
and the clean ridge the palm wood fence makes
only twice
or well, one and a half
like, id just need to tear down the right wall and staircase to move em over 1 or 2 blocks
...and all the furniture
Platforms/hammered wood on the top glass block so it doesnt just abruptly end
Right
but thats not a cabinet sink
im not worrying about the sink rn
daannng, nice
but yeah, i really dont wanna have to tear this down again for a few blocks of space
Fishing might be b
The new meta
aight something like this should suffice, bit rushed but whatever
Ash wood is great
daannng, nice
agreed
also keep in mind im limited to pre hardmode blocks rn
tho wait, how did you get those X patterns
yeah sure, ill keep that in mind with the decorations
large bamboo
mhm, typical tropics roof
mhm, i guess mine is more structured
i could make another one next to it thats a little less worn
lemme finish this one first though
your call, i do appreciate this tho
i'll make one, i need some more building practice eitherway
you can, doesnt have to
Little suggestion with the platforms on the window but you could move them down a block and not hammer it, might look better
If you don't plan on placing anything 2 block tall ontop of the table of course
i think you have plenty of space tbh
Yea if you can fit a kitchen that looks pretty good imo you can probably fit most things into your given space
yeah, but the left space to put enough that makes sense
spiced up the walls a bit for some variety
like...a house would have a living/dining room there, but there's not enough space for all of that
huh, what blocks are those for the staircase
Nice pattern
librarian platforms
thx, its a bit lazy ngl
but yeah, the teapot would have been nice to have on the table
lemme cook something up furniture wise rq
Trying to figure out the walls
Is it ebonwood, bamboo, normal wood, and some sort of bricks? (My guess being mud)
main pattern is ebonwood and regular wood and i used bamboo, spooky wood and some mudbrick walls for texturing
you can make the mix alot more advanced if you want but cba rn
If you were living inside a mushroom, what kind of wall would you use?
like...i wanna have all the essentials in spots that make sense
kitchen, dining, living, bathroom, bedroom, hobby
sails or smooth marble or living wood
mmm inevitably it is your choice as you are the builder here
The sentiment from me is that youll probably be fine but I dont know the vision that you have in mind
wait what will the walls be for? the stem or the underside?
stem
here is a fairly simple kitchen design i made, though not really great at decorating kitchens
It's office wall, which has become one of my favorites. Orange painted living leaf wall also looked cool. Trying feywood wall since it's thematic
tad better, added some structure to the walls
I really need to get myself hanging pots
added a window rq for some more light
love how creating detailed windows in terraria involves intentional holes in the window
yeah, though love is a strong word
this should be compact enough
wouldnt holes in the wall make it so enemies can spawn?
nah
ill cook one of those up aswel i suppose
you could, but decorational concept is the same
mhm, thing is i dont think i have a choice
i dont have enough space rn to have both
not on the first floor
but what makes sense...?
yeah makes perfect sense
fair
like...ive never seen that before irl
and i cant find a reference for it for the life of me
i've seen it many times, its not that weird
for there to be no living room or great room on the lower floor?
Yea
Its a house
Theres not really any set rules on stuff should go imo
Any room can be any room
I mean tbf, not every house has a dining area nowadays
fair, tho i cant fit a table in the kitchen
very compact dining area
flinx fur table
Is that how you spell that
deerclops music box
I really need to look into all of the furniture sets terraria has
Theres so much gold to find
hmmmm...im trying but im still running out of space with even a dining like that
because of how my stairs turn
i wanna have the fih because thematic and funny
perfect
and i mean...c'mon, you cant have a fisherman's house without a singing bass
Are these from the office set
most of it yeah
lol
Im gonna be using that holy
Ive been neglecting using it I didnt think it had really cool furniture
its hard to make it fit into rustic builds
modern ones? absolutely its a must have
and im going for more late 1800's early 1900's style. that transitionary period
...or the stuff of a grandpa who hasnt replaced his stuff since his grandfather owned the place
Whats this glass with red liquid called? Is this just food on a plate or is this a block
food on a plate, fruit juice
but is it too fancy for whats gonna be the angler's house?
not bad so far
love the window tops btw
thx, i love grate windows
yeah, you're good at this
he's a brat
prolly hella fancy
nah, he's a countryside kid
The angler is going to go into the iron lung into my world
wannabe country
its aight
Anyone know any good 2 wide furniture to have next to my table/chairs?
or is the seaweed better?
why is everything a masterpiece
I prefer the seaweed due to height
fair
but the palm tree might work well when everything else is added
yeah, i just kept finding that area too empty
plus, looks better with the beam
also, i am still proud of how i was able to fit a tiny trash bin next to the fridge
also, just for fun
behold, my ass kicking outfit!
aka the building loadout
yeah this will do as a finished product
you work fast
Crazy fast
this has taken me days and most of it was trial/error and thinking
i tried to this time yeah, usually my builds take a 5-6hrs
didnt put too much brain into this one. usually innovation takes the longest
yeah
Its taken me roughly 10 hours for the house im workin on
i feel like if i wasnt working under the size constraints i am, i could have had this done lol
something like this took 7hrs? was my first time building after the update
also...i have an odd feeling
are windows 2 tiles above the ground too high?
it feels...off
Lovely tree ontop
agreed, couldnt tell at first glance it was a built tree
Great job. Crazy amounts of detail
thx, i've been trying to practice them with strange plants
Yeah that’s insane bro
thx ^^
this was my first attempt at making a strange plant tree
I could never
Didnt even realide theres strange plants in this
i definitely need to get better at my trees, I took a stab at pine earlier
the magic is alot of echo blocks lol
pretty neat, havent really messed around with pine yet
paint is super essential
Paint is yea
Think my mushroom is pretty much done. Welcome ideas for improvement
Sick. Like that a lot
Id say it looks nice
plus the window feels short
i'd put the top window frame one above the actual window and hammer it a few times
What’re echo blocks?
Is this living wood platform?
Love mushroom stuff
Blocks that are invisible without a certain accessory
invisible blocks, can only see them with echo goggles or other items
Or a monolith
Waow
it can, you just need to tactically hide the shitty bits like i did
Echo paint very useful for walls, torches, and hiding furniture if there's not enough room on the floor
There’s so much nuance to terraria building and clever block use
Indeed
It goes so deep

but this stops me from using a lamp
use a lantern
you can no? just place on on the middle platform
can also use echo paint to create a log that you can sit on
lantern is ceiling, lamp is floor
you're thinking of candle
lanterns are 2 tall from ceiling
Candle on the table for lighting?
Waow
hmmm...but symetry...
symetry is shit in building
Symmetry be damned
depends
easiest way to ruin a build is to make everything symetrical
oh i know
I think I’m mostly happy with where my building’s at
furnishings n all shoudnt be symetrical
Idk if I wanna put in the effort to learn all the echo blocks and hammering and shit
A lot of the learning for me is just going "Holy shit thats a block?"
usually i just wing it for the meassurements
but stuff like foundation, support beams, built in lighting, that stuff i feel has to be symetrical since thats the practical stuff
😂
And also "Holy shit thats a block interaction?"
hammering is pretty basic, echo blocks is understandable
I should at least get into painting
lighting definitely does not have to be symmetrical
But to me it feels like cheating to paint for some reason
painting is a bare minimum for building
^
i need to use echo stuff more
I’d rather find a block with the texture and color I want
Painting is sooo important
the minecraft school of building
without paint your block choices are super limited and texturing is almost nonexistent
Tru
Mostly anything can fit your needs if you use paint
also...i should maybe use different light fixtures
It is a Minecraft carryover for me
i feel little open flames are a bit too primitive for a house like this yeah?
my terraria building skills transferred ok ish into mc. this was my first build since my childhood shit boxes
That’s stunning
