every time i relog, the dungeon brick changes its textures

so i cant un-skull blue dungeon brick

i dont know what to do for my well now

i may need a new block pallet for my walls

anyone got any advice?

The game doesn't store block states. I had to learn this the hard way.

If you need some consistency, you can always paint blocks that are regular, or those that have multiple block states but they look like each other.

Or, even better, just abandon everything in life and use harpy blocks. They are ALWAYS predictable, no matter which edge you are using.

Harpy Blocks, people are using them to make shingles, I'm using them to design things. Every single state of it is predictable.

The bottom ones always form semicircles, the middle ones are regular to the pixel, the top edge ones repeat themselves depending on which column they are, the edge ones are equal every time.

After all the mannequin propoganda, I hopped on Terraria, excited by the prospect I could have a mannequin swinging fishrons whip to look like an actual eel in the last aquarium layer I'm building. I placed a mannequin. I put a placeholder starcrash into the weapon slot. I eagerly hammered the mannequin. I've never been more disappointed in my life that whips render the handle plus one (1) singular tiny bit of the actual whip and ends there instead of the whole thing like all other weapons. • I am limited in space a bit since the dungeon generated fairly close to the small beach

But those ship designs, damn

And a lighthouse sounds like an amazing thing to build for my other beach

You could always expand the ocean. According to the wiki, it's considered ocean as long as you're within 338 tiles horizonitally of the world's edge and above the midpoint of the underground level.

actually just curious, if it's a 1.1 era world how come there's some modern biome generation things like the shimmer, new mushroom biomes and ocean layouts? TEdit?

World originates from 1.1 on Console. The world was originally much smaller, but when I transferred it to PC, part of the map was bugged. The bottom half of the world was like cut off and wouldn't load. I guess that's a bug that happens when you use old console worlds on PC. So the only way I could fix it is to move all of my current builds onto a fresh up to date world that was generated on PC. I did this 2 years ago.

If you want straight walls all the way up, I recommend swapping to woods that have a smoother edge or use something other than wood. Alternatively you can make it not straight up. Have some rooms stick out and you can even make teraces above those.
For walls, you usually want two+ types of walls for each room. A standard I like for basic builds is bottom row brick wall, then plancked wall, then the rest some sort of wood. Depending on size of room I make top row something too

It's lava clouds with red gemspark blocks for the red waterfalls. The house is half sun plate and half moon plate. Was just a quick build on my switch

No, this "bad boy" is naturally layered.

You don't heat it up for longer than a minute and grab it bare-handed.

You'll hear your palm sizzling as it fuzes to the side lol.

It's all gemspark blocks for Gyarados. Some of them are painted but others are not.
