One thing you could add is a roof, for instance. Maybe mahogany logs or dynasty roofing or hay
Also flatten the roof. Everything should be placed with intention, even if the intention is just vibes. Same with the fishing hole roof.

If you're on PC, I'd recommend using tmodloader and cheat sheet
When it comes to building intuition, it's far easier to do so when you don't need to go to a corruption world for a lil ebonwood, and then trek to the painter for brown paint etc
Another thing I notice about the pier is that everything's palm wood.
Do not feel limited by your biome blocks, and remember, wood can be mixed together extremely easily by painting it brown

Painted ebonwood walls throughout the build to create pillers
Different rooms with different in world functions

post golem you are able to get traps from temple and i dont have them for unwanted enemies that block spawn so i tried to figure out how to get less enemies spawning / more truffles and its efficient actually

it was meant to be one of those temples made out of gold but hidden under a layer of stone, and the gold is showing cuz its cracked
