figure out how wide you want the stairs to be, and keep track of if they go in front of or behind the central column
i find it easier to figure out the spiral stairs first, and then adapting the height of the rooms to fit

For 3 platforms, I recommend using meteorite platform for the middle and palmwood for the sides. Remember to paint them. They look cool as hell with a built in light on your stairs

i think i found one of the best early hardmode money farms- make an afk farm in pre hard mode, then easily get infested spider walls, that way as soon as you get into hm you can get full summoner gear from spider fangs as well as around 20 silver every spider fang, easily able to get thousands in a short period (crafting the spider fangs into queen staffs which sell for 5 gold base)

If you wanna improve your builds a bit there are a few things you want to keep in mind:
Purpose! When making a room think about who would be using it and why, and add things on that theme that makes sense.
Variation! Don't use the same material for everything, mix it up a bit to give some texture to your build.
Shapes! Don't just copypaste the same basic box repeatedly, experiment with shapes and sizes.
Colour! Use paint, paintings and decorations to bring some life to your builds.

For the tree, try hammering some space inside the tree leaf to make it look more natural, here is an example of mine , you can also mix some living mahogany leaf, green paints, to add some texture

Calamity goes a bit over textured in it's pixelart in my opinion having a lot of furniture pieces get that awkward blending that comes with introducing a lot of shades of the same colour in a small space

It's how I used to do pixel art

Like I'm doing digital art with a love for blending

It's a bit busier on the eyes and it oftentimes commands attention compared to it's surrounding

Chads furniture does wood in this very specific muted contrast way that kinda makes everything look a lot flatter despite having a lot of shading
