The reason urs looks kinda weird is two things actually

One is the ropes and vines and streamers, they kinda create a texture inconsistency because they look like a straight like downwards or sideways

And the second reason is colour inconsistency

Coins are bright af and plants are just a bit darker but equally saturated

If u had a wall that actually blended into them, aka something similarly vibrant instead of the dark walls behind it, it would look more connected, like a big bunch of greenery

Use living leaf walls instead, add some variation for the roof and walls, try brown large bamboo walls + brown rich magogany walls

For furniture try the dryad painting, jungle music boxes, brass shelves and maybe living wood items

You can do simple window decor just place brass shelves on the top and metal shelves on the bottom, add rows of painted pumpkin walls for curtains

I've mixed stone textures with some of the more metallic looking ones so it's hard to pick up on what it's meant to be

Make it consistent, u have the exact same 'wood on top, another block on the bottom' combo for the second floor ceiling and it's done with gray painted meteorite brick instead of gemspark, try it out on the rest of the build as a gemspark replacement

Yes, used echo coating or echo blocks to get that effect, so the water can flow down without looking too awkward

I wanted to actuate some crystal as background to add some depth but block actuated in shimmer, at least in my game, just not obvious enough and look kinda strange

When u have platforms, walls and actuated stuff in water they all take the same behind the water position

Only blocks take above the water position

Same counts to all liquids basically, they take priority above everything but non actuated blocks

If u want them to be visible and actuated illuminant paint might be the way to go

I'd reccommend, since it looks like you're going for an igloo, just try to round it out a little, and make the walls a little thicker. Makes it look a lot more sturdy and, though I can't give too comprehensive of a guide on how to make smooth round surfaces, there's probably a tool online that lets you create pixel art circles

Its the better choice since full 3d usually looks off because of shadow grading that you either need to have art school diploma, or relatives with it or u know do mock ups of the build
