Instead of changing how teleporters work and interact with eachother, you can use one button for activating main teleport, and other button to change placement of hoiks to specific teleport.

A little late to the party, but my large building world has a 28-way teleporter. You stand on the main teleporter, input the destination code with a set of switches, then press teleport. The main teleporter teleports you to one of four intermediary teleporters, which then teleports you to your destination a moment later. Each teleport has a 1/4 second delay to make sure it works consistently.

This could be expanded fairly trivially. The two layers in that design could support up to 56 destinations, and of course you can add additional layers as needed.

I tried doing a fusion house for the desert. The sandstone side is supposed to be sturdy to protect the beach house side from the wind. There's also a hill on the other side of the oasis, so realistically the beach house would have nice weather a lot of the time, and during sandstorms you could go inside the sandstone part.
