Yup, most by hand. I did eventually discovered a mod that lets me place large amounts of blocks, but by that point I'd done quite a bit of filling 😭

if you are tryna make it look more like the house is part of king slime instead of king slime being ontop of it try breaking down the mountain to the left of it to make more room and then making the dome shape on top cover more of the roof and maybe go down across the sides too, also i wouldnt recommend using gold bars as blocks for the crown, instead try something like yellow/deep yellow painted silver bricks
idk for sure what would work best for the crown texture ngl

alternatively you can just use gold ore for the crown so it sparkles cos its ore

yesterday I made a cute little house with granite walls and mushroom furniture 🍄 every time i find new materials in this game, it is SO exciting. PLUS i had two perfect paintings to accent the house! then i put grass on top of the roof, so the whole thing feel like a fungi-inspired place!

i also made a house for the demolitions expert that looks like a bomb 💣 haha

IThat first ruined build was one of the first things I built on this world so I didnt have the vision I do now. I dont necessarily want to delete it but it feels outta place now and I am not sure how to re-purpose it...

Aside from using painted sand in-between there's not much to do

I suppose the closest to a smooth block gradient u can get is mud thin layer of stone and sand and then sandstone

Option two is hammer them so there's a small like in-between and fill it in with walls of choice usually stuff resembling stone itself painted white

Yup! It's cause the paint affects the colour on the wheel and not the saturation of the colour, so grayish blocks when painted tend to look very desaturated and make for variety of browns when given warmer paints

I love that aspect of paint cause it means u only need to look for similar saturation levels to colour match blocks
