Ok so, bit of an odd problem

I was deep underground with a phasesaber. I forgot to recall it back to myself after throwing it around and once I got to the surface, after the time limit it returned to me. I think this is what triggered me getting the "lucky boulder" achievement. I had no idea this was even a thing and a rainbow boulder was just jumping around me. Apparently there's an item drop? how I can beat the Destroyer or Twin or the Prime Skeletron in Expert mode and what boss I need to beat first

You can beat any of them first but you do benefit more by killing a specific one.

You can craft the Light Disc from the drops of the destroyer, which is a decent melee weapon.

craft a flint and use it to melt the destroyer, then use the hallow bars to make light discs and use those vs the other mechs

Just focus on the head of the destroyer. If you have good defense, which you should since you're playing melee, then the lasers do like no damage.

Don't worry about the probes, if you have enough defense, they shouldn't be a problem
the only thing you need to dodge is the head

you gotta be careful with your positioning, you don't wanna get trapped, and you wanna make sure that the charge attack from the flint hits multiple boss segments

Also probes drop a heart 50% of the time, so keep stacking them and kill them once you need hp

the damage depends on the diffuculty since in mastermode or legendary theyre very troublesome

in expert or classic they just tickle

Even on Master mode they deal like no damage. And only contact damage changes on legendary I believe.

Master mode probes don't do much more compared to expert
And legendary only increases contact damage

because the lasers do no damage compared to any contact from anything else, and they can't contact you

Probe lasers barely do any damage
Probe contact hurts slightly
Destroyer lasers hurts slightly
Destroyer body contact hurts a lot
Destroyer head contact has not had any victims live to tell the tale

To be fair, I believe it's only used for hellstone. Unless you need it for the hard mode ores too I can't remember.
