to prevent them from spawning you need to be on the correct layer, just upper half (true surface for ddu/gfb) of the cavern layer will be out of their range, you can also use teleporters/hoiks to instantly move them as soon as they spawn and but rune wizards will need more to kill them so they might be able to get a shot off. You can use a flail with stress ball to maybe destroy projectiles

That’s the one big problem with Terraria imo, the post golem/moon lord balancing.

After Moon Lord the game kind of gives up on trying to make the rest of the game even remotely challenging by comparison, gives you weapons/armor that outscale the entire game, and essentially says “that’s it lol”. You essentially need to restrict yourself from using any post-Lunatic Cultist gear if you aren’t interested in essentially playing Journey Mode but worse.
