how to get going with hardmode ores in 7 easy steps
step 1: to spawn the new hardmode ore you want to smash lots (6 or 9 is good, more is better ofc) of the evil altars (leave 1 for crafting) with the Pwnhammer you got from WoF
step 2: use your molten pickaxe (crafted from hellstone) to mine cobalt/palladium
step 3: use cobalt/palladium to make a new pickaxe (and optionally power bombs to help with hardmode ore mining)
step 4: use cobalt/palladium pickaxe (or power bombs) to mine mythril/orichalcum
step 5: use mythril/orichalcum to make a new hardmode anvil and a new pickaxe
step 6: use mythril/orichalcum pickaxe (or power bombs) to mine adamantite/titanium
step 7: combine 30 adamantite/titanium ore with a hellforge while standing by your new hardmode anvil to craft your new hardmode forge, and then make yourself some new armour

the easy version is to just shave of a fe blocks from the forest surface to expose blocks with unsafe dirt wall behind them
in the fancy version you place the dirt and unsafe dirt walls (from shimmering dirt walls) yourself
