Oh yeah just create multiple layers of platforms. If you have a grappling hook or wings you can make them like 10 blocks apart easily. Also add campfires, and if you have extra heart crystals you can make those into heart lanterns.

If that's still not enough, craft some regeneration potions, ironskin potions, swiftness potions, and thorns potions.

Fishing is the best. Helped me a ton in my HC MM run. I fished straight to Titanium armor at the start of hardmode. When I did it on my classic run I wasn't set up for it so it took longer. With fishing gear, good spots, master bait, it didn't take took long.

you should try making a fishing area with 1 block biome conversions, just place 1499 snow and sand nearby, and 139 jungle grass

then place down 1 block for any biome you want

IMO chlorophyte is the easiest ore to get. If you have a drill at that point or just good pickaxe you can get 200 Chloro ore in a short farm

The best part is it spawns very high up near the surface too so you don't have to be too risky.

I feel like the hardest ore to get is probably top tier pre hardmode armor wihtout cheesing or farming it through corruption or whatever. Gold.Platinum are both much harder to find than chlorophyte... in my own experience that i s.
