Tons of ways to mitigate risk, the best way is not to take them. If it's optional not to take them, that's the past I almost always take in the game. I wouldn't say it's the right way to play, but it's enjoyable to me

useful for hardmode as well when turtles come

also all these highways are going to simplify the pillars drastically

The way to think of the monotonous digging is you're obtaining vaulable materials, sure only valuable early in the game, but at the time they are gold.

I also highly reocmmend digging into the desert the way I did, because it gives you sand for bottles for potions and also easy to mine for glass to build with.

One risk of that which happened in my HC MM run though is the pillars can spawn underground...

My vote is Destroyer. Avoid the head, clear the probes as much as you can, avoid the head. Don't kiss the head.

Ok definitely if not hardcore nights blade will be a lot better than adamantite, but honestly if you have Sunfury or Blue Moon even that's enough for Destroyer on Expert.

If you can find a chillet (it's in an egg in the caverns layer) it gives you 10% dmg which is useful for all classes at all times

Using it's dash also makes you temporarily invunerable, allowing you to Dash through the destroyers body without taking damage

It's considered an early game mount, but because of it's unique mechanics I find it very good for almost the whole game.

Chillet dash is 100 times better than shield, which definitely is an OP difference IMO. I was shocked to learn Master Ninja didn't give you I-frames like CHillet. Chillet is just Really strong

This game just doesn't handle cloud integration well. Onedrive & steam cloud will both break terraria often.
Manual transferring is easy. You just copy the files to a flashdrive or upload to a google drive & put them back in the same folder on the other device.
