I have died twice on master mode hardcore, but that was the first day of streaming. since then it's been 7 straight days of 8+ hour streams of Master Mode Hardcore

I found the easisest way to do the gnomes was the -2 underground tunnel I dug across the entire map. With 7 intersecting hellevators I feel like I could farm them very easily

I’ve been having a really bad issue with my Terraria world and I’m trying to see if anyone knows how to fix it or recover the world.
At first, my world had a bug where the map wouldn’t save properly. Every single time I entered the world, the explored map would reset completely to black like I had never explored anything before. The world itself still worked, but the map data kept resetting every time I rejoined. After dealing with that for a while, the world suddenly stopped working entirely. I tried a bunch of things in the Terraria files and folders, messing with backups and renaming files, and eventually I somehow got the world working again.
After that, I moved over to tModLoader and started playing normally with the Mod of Redemption modpack. Everything was completely fine for hours. I played for around 6 hours with no issues, saved and exited normally, then later tried to join the world again.
Now the world is completely broken in a weird way. In the world selection menu, the world still exists, but the actual name is missing. It’s just blank. I can still favorite it, move it to the cloud, rename it, or delete it, so the game clearly detects that something is there, but the world itself won’t open. When I click Play, Terraria says the world can’t be opened and then it tries to load the backup automatically. The problem is the backup also fails and doesn’t work either.
I checked the Worlds folder and there’s also a Backup folder, but some of the compressed backup files say they’re invalid or corrupted when I try opening them. At this point I don’t know if the .wld file itself is corrupted, if the backups are dead too, or if there’s still a way to recover the world somehow. If anyone knows any recovery methods, tools, or fixes for corrupted Terraria/tModLoader worlds, please help.

I understand if its too long for some of you guys and im sorry but this was the best way to ensure my idea is delivered clearly.

Note that I already tried switching the backups to the main world, still wont work. Plus, the backup zip in "backups" in "worlds" says that its invalid

What I like to do with biome mimics is fight them above the surface along a long horizontal platform

Its much easier to fight them that way because underground there are a lot of walls and stuff along with the dangerous enemies

I don't think it's a cheese in any way. I don't think using rails is a cheese either. Those are intended mechanics. I think what you're talking about is more like handicapping yourself by avoiding the game's mechanics as a challenge. That's fine, but that doesn't make using the game's mechanics as they are intended cheesing or exploiting or anything.

If you want to know hot to beat him on hardcore master mode guaranteed I can send you a screenshot of basically all you need to know to do it. I didn't know if it would work but it worked Mostly well.
