You can primarily find them in the cavern and underworld layers, but the most efficient way is to just dig out a large area on the surface while not destroying the natural dirt walls since they can spawn anywhere with natural dirt walls

I beat plantera using almost only exclusively the flamethrower.
Obviously i used a couple other items like a terra blade (Don't ask how i got it before defeating her) and an optic staff as well as healing pots, but if you set up a good arena, have good armor, and maybe a campfire or heart lantern, it might be possible to solo her with it.

The most important one is goblin tinkerer being underground with mechanic and dye trader. I like putting them next to the shimmer. All other npcs are kind of inconsequential with cost, but there are some guides online to get everyone to "ideal" happiness

yep, you can "craft" dirt into mud at water

all you need to create the biome is 100 mushroom related tiles, you can have them all in one spot like this 11 by 11 mud blob with 9 strategic holes

Water being an actual crafting station threw me off when I found out about it going for the unusual survival strategies achievement thought you could just fill bottles up with water like you would with the bucket but it's "crafted"
