Although Rogue does have a hard start as the Stealth mechanic requires you to wear armour, and the earliest armour for it is Gladiator and Desert Prowler.

Those games are fun, but they're also pretty different from Terraria in my opinion. I think Terraria PvP could be similarly enjoyable and unique enough to justify its existence.

Compared to Minecraft, where the bulkiest enemies have 10x the player's health.

I was experiencing a bug with nameless deity just now so I can't really deny that, every other issue I experienced was my own fault like not creating the world with the mod activated for example
it feels like you just don't like wrath of the gods as a whole instead of it actually being bad for beginners

But it is very well known for confusing new players.
And when it comes to playing big mods you should never play them with addons first.
Except VCMM, you should use that one.
And the Calamity's Vanities mod is mostly fine.
