I used Old lords claymore molten armor or crimson if youd rather hp regen hermes bundle of balloons worm scarf feral claws shield of cthulu specifically good with old one claymore cuz you can get a few iframes from dashing into boss with cthulhu shield last accessory id say obsidian shield

the bundle of balloons is goated for movement tho make sure you use campfires heart lanterns, etc. buffs all of it luckily you can craft most accessories by skeletron so you can craft the balloons and the biome bottles

Broken biome blade is also good but is only melee if your not fully committing to true melee

The big forehead laser is actually easier to dodge if you are closer to the head. The laser rotates slower near the head itself, so the speed you need to beat it is less. It’s still a lot, like using the shrimpy truffle during the rain will do it with little room to spare, but possible. Or you could just use a rod of discord
