I think I’m kinda a few years late but I think the photosynthesis + Atlantis combo with the spectre armor (specifically the spectre mask one) is still op against golem. Atlantis would do quick work on the arms and photosynthesis + rage boost + adrenaline boost would shred golem. I beat golem in one attempt I think.

Photosynthesis is even super good against cal clone and a&l (ifykyk). I’d say that mage starts becoming good at pre plantera (cuz of Valkyrie ray but I think there are also other weapons thats good. I’m not sure if it’s even good pre plantera in calamity). It becomes like 5x more op pre golem. Idk with cultist and moon lord tho (I haven’t beaten those bosses yet). So that’s my thoughts on the calamity mage class so far.

They are big changes tho, definitely not just ai change there's new attack patterns and shit, there's also new structures and the abyss looks nothing like the base calamity one

I'm considering adding the starlight river mod for my challenge run, and since i don't know this mod yet i meant to ask about the vitric desert that's mentioned in the wiki, is it big enough of a biome to count it as a unique biome for my biome locked rules, or do i count it as part of the desert?

So it could be possible that the arrows hit the ceiling rather than the boss

but infernum providence is a long fight anyway iirc
