Both of these are lovely houses, and I like what you did with the chimney and the use of slime banners for curtains. When it comes to feedback, the first thing I notice is that with the second house it seems that you only used the basic wood block and wood wall along with wood beams. Primarily using one type of block for a whole build or section can make it look less appealing (most notably on the back side) so you can fix this by using different blocks for the floor, ceiling, sides, and walls.

For example

With the floor I recommend you use boreal wood and then paint it brown so it matches with the rest of the wood

With the section I circled green, I recommend you use brown paint mahogany wall for the horizontal support

And for those beams you could use a block like brown painted shadewood

And with the two sides, you could possibly try using brown ebonwood

For extra detail, you could try painting the mana and health potions different colors so it looks like there are a variety of unique potions on the shelves

well, no particular emotion atleast

emojis are supposed to convey something at the least, like an idea or a thing

the purpose of an emoticon is for emotion hence the name

Other times, at least for the most part, they do represent something, and that’s kind of what they’re meant for.

The best I would consider is either get a wood model and try to replicate the pose you want, or research a few reference images in the pose you want and work from there. A reminder would be to remove AI from your search as well, since this will generate nonsensical images alongside real ones. You can also take pictures of yourself in a chair to see how you could get the right pose.

While I'm definitely not the person for giving you advice, I would say you could try looking for pictures or poses online in which someone is sitting in a chair and use those as reference. Additionally, you could use yourself as a reference to also assist you.

Back in 2015 I built the Dungeon of Terraria in Minecraft, and now I'm programming (vanilla Minecraft!) the boss fight with the lunatic cultist and details in the dungeon, such as all mobs spawns with their respective attacks. I even have a "Shadowbeam Staff" that actually works and shoots a bouncing ray in 3D. The boss shoots at you, and also has the cloning ability with a rotating circle. All the mobs that spawn in the dungeon are available too (Except giant skulls).

Dont be afraid to use reference. I would avoid tracing to build muscle memory on your own.

And this is just in general, but don't compare your work to others'. It kills your motivation and makes you less productive.

Another thing is ask for input and critique. Don't just ask "is it any good" or " what can I fix". Tackle one area at a time (say you wanna do character art, you’d focus on making sure your proportions are right first, then practice making your legs right, then faces, etc.) and surround yourself in other artists who are capable of the field you enjoy.
_ _

For all mediums and themes, the fundamentals are all there. I would look up sources on perspective and line weight to begin with if you want your stuff to at least look passable. Just "good enough" leaves a hole in your skill and confidence. Avoid color and shading (you can touch up rudimentary stuff for now) for a bit until you're comfortable with what shapes you're making. (You’ll have a much better time understanding light when you understand what your light is doing.)

Character artists are quite common, so you'll be able to ask for help on that almost anywhere. Human(oid) anatomy in art is already a complete science, as well as basically anything biological. There's heaps of books and articles and tutorials to draw notes from, between proportion and how muscles interact with the body and other things.

It's a lot to grasp at first. Just tackle one challenge at a time. As boring as it is, you really hsould do the basic stuff first to get a feel. Go from there. If you wanna just sketch stuff and say it looks good to you, that's fine. But getting better takes a lot of work.

As far as I am aware, tracing would be taking a piece of paper, putting it on top of a screen image or something like that, and then making marks and lines exactly where everything is.

For example: in this scenario I took an image of a car and on another layer I started "tracing" the outline and other parts of the car. I believe this is what would be considered "tracing".

And by removing the car layer I'd simply be left with what I did
