The Red Rocks season is March through October, the other months have unsafe weather so the venue closes for the winter. Red Rocks is already fully booked for that period next year, and has been for about three weeks, so there was no availability for Hugo to reschedule for next year. It’s abnormal to even see the season extend into November

The restaurant in the visitor center is also closed for renovations this season, so food options are rather slim - hot dogs and pretzels only. Do note that RR's site says this about food:

Yeah, downtown is in a rough spot right now. The unhoused population moved into Union Station during the pandemic because it was the only public space that was somewhat protected from snow - it’s actually much better now than it was three years ago. And Denver’s main street (16th), which used to be a pedestrian/bus-only link between Union Station and Civic Center Park and served as effectively a mile-long outdoor plaza, is torn up to replace the paving stones rn which means the biggest public space downtown is more or less inaccessible.

If you’re staying in Golden, you’re really close to Boulder - check out their downtown (Pearl Street) and their mountain parks (specifically hiking at Chautauqua Park)!

There are some nice places in downtown Denver though, I really enjoy Commons Park and Confluence Park (both on the river near Union Station)

Can confirm the box in the middle is where the soundboard is, although they have wireless mixing now so there probably won’t be anybody there during the show. That’s a great spot to watch from, though - you’ll just be able to see the Denver skyline over the stage from that far back if it’s a clear night, and sound will be best close to the soundboard

Yeah I want to do parks for the time I’m there. Not really into urban exploring like my group was.

For some reason they wanted to leave red rocks pm as soon as we got there on Friday morning. There’s that outlook and trail I wanted to see but they were like “ no let’s go to the town”

Honestly the whole span from Union Station to the river is great, the north riverbank is great, the independent shops on South Broadway are great as are those in the Highland neighborhood, but a lot of Denver is kind of nothing special as far as cities go - what does make Denver special is having big-city amenities while being about a half hour drive to the Rockies. So I’d really recommend spending some time out in nature next time you’re here

That’s my plan. I’ll get there next Wednesday morning and just stay in the golden area and schleep. Go to the concert and leave early Friday morning.
