How to set custom hero icons?

for icons solution are simple if its full new hero with new id you cant change icon on minimap and on healthbar if dont you need to change minimapsheet file and save it at the same path and with same things replace original assets with you own
if it full new hero here is short guide:

1. save image 128x72 to panorama\images\heroes for normal link to chat
2. work with selection hud set you custom image to hero grid then overwrite onmouseover and onmouseout with you custom hero move that you record in sfm and dont forget about stats panel
3. create a unit for scene panel to display model in strategy time
4. change icon in topbar if it wasnt linked

i make hero based on omniknight and put png files into this directories:
panorama/images/heroes
panorama/images/heroes/selection
panorama/images/heroes/icons
GAME panorama/videos

and all works good but hero icon

maybe icons need something special to work? I've seen games where it all works together, but at the same time, the developer just put the images along these paths and that's it.

materials/vgui/hud/minimap_hero_sheet.vmat you need overwrite this file and change omniknight icon to you custom

Why you heroes have so much generic hidden? this ability used only when hero don't have 4 or 5 ability to make sure that ult at R button

For icons download source 2 viewer then find in path where dota installed pack.dir file and open in with this program, then find in pack.dir file that I talking above and decompile as png, change icon as you want, compile file again (though panorama it's easy way to do) and put at the same path
