How does this work within Valve's ToS
And also why are teleport scroll icons stretched
We believe that Valve's ToS regarding custom games are still not clear. We're aware of what happened to several game mods last year but hope to challenge that
Regarding teleport scroll icons, I believe the screenshot is messed up
Valve: No ingame purchases, and no benefits gained from monetary sources
This guy: Too vague, battlepass :)
Some custom games literally have ingame shops that sell something for real money after frozing it by valve and unfrozing after that
Typical
Currently, Valve's stance is that you may not sell things that are only achieved with money only. If you can grind all day to get the items, then it's fine
Again, it’s not true
That's what happened with mods like CHC and 12v12 though
They told them to make it grindable, they did, lawyers said "k thx bruh have fun"
no one cares about the ToS, it's only relevant what the lawyers deem valid monetization
See lawyers here not deeming it valid monetization
#general message
See their response on me asking directly as to why games are still monetizing
They told them to make it grindable, they did, lawyers said "k thx bruh have fun"
Like it's not how that happened
I've seen their emails
