I personally like it alot, I would like to see 2-3 of these types of things per event. Uniques and special items are always fun but puzzles make for good laughs and big hunts. Alrhough idk if theres more puzzles....

The event is awesome. I love Thadacles as a boss. If not for the fact he's open world boss, then Darza could not hold his candle to him. Real Chadacles if u ask me 😝

Thas is a real bullet hell, literal hell. But I love it even more. I've seen so many pros die. But at the same he's not absurdly broken (at least not when u face him 2nd time and know what's what xP). The patterns are hard but manage'able and it requires much skill, and with his ai and many different attacks, aoes popping all over, the fight is so dynamic and risky.

To all who worked on the design, visual yes but mechanical especially - chapeau bas 🫡 💘

Nerf bosses a lot pls. On every boss just happening massacre cuz shots doing so many dps + aoe zones can just push you in boss and thats a insta kill without time for nexussing.
Nerf bosses a lot and its will be a cool event, but now - me and some guys just starting to hate it.

Cool boss, good variety of attacks. There is enough bullet hell but also opportunity for players to work as a team and heal each other
What I don’t like is being launched into death. With proper attention you can notice where paths and purple heart bombs are going to happen, but I believe I’ve been deleted by an unnoticeable one
Otherwise a good new challenge to come by

Boss fight is well made, but the droprates are ridiculous, i have doe like 60 now and all i have got is #1 piece

I personally prefer events where players can complete missions at their own pace without relying on a large group or chasing a boss that only appears under specific conditions. I enjoyed the Halloween event, where a special boss appeared after a dungeon or defeating Darza.

I also prefer knowing what I’m working towards rather than randomly attacking a boss to see its rewards. While this event effectively promotes teamwork, it feels more focused on encouraging pack purchases rather than individual achievements.

Overall, the event isn’t bad, but I personally prefer a more traditional style. Comparing both, I’d rate Halloween a 10 and Valentine’s a 6.

Tbh all the death messages sink in between his dialogue for me and only between 10-15 I realised yes, people are dying when I'm playing, but they're just pretty when doing so 😆
Could be a different hue to easier see what's flavour dialogue/boss banter and what's rip fren mesagu ;-;

boss has a lot of stacked projectiles ive heard, and it feels that way as i and others randomly get hit for like 400. knockback is annoying. good bullet hell overall though just terrible to have in a permadeath with a nexus feature

The one thing that did need nerfing imo is range of some projectiles, especially the ones that pierce the pillars, so if you get caught in the wrong rotation (especially those horizontal slices) you aren't forced to tavern

I will say the red wall being slower is a nice welcome for slow classes, allowing them to get more hits, but it's a little sad that he is Chad no more.

I get why the people felt negative towards him. The fight was super hard, comparing to relatively no gain other than collectables. The level of difficulty really did match some endgame guy with endgame loot. For a "sidequest" farmable(?) event boss, he might've felt like waste of time and possibly characters. I mostly disagree with that, but then again, I understand the reasoning behind that.

I gotta say, it also is quite a move from the devs, because it allows us to gather essence faster, impacting our speed of farming event items, so that's another gift for the community from that change.

As a noob that came back and is playing heavily for past 2.5 weeks, I have to say that Chadacles was very cool and refreshing. I accept him becoming greek choir boy instead staying killer Chad he was, but seeing what you can cook up, I can't wait for the future of Darza. Next time I think it would be better to warn the community about the difficulty and what they should except, a little more, although I personally, had enough of warning seeing first 2-3 fights, and I died only from underestimating the boss ~30 fights in.

And lastly, I think that really hard and spacious world bosses are pretty cool. In dungeons we are trapped with the boss, so if we do an oopsie we have to bail and have no means to return. Here, we can run away, chill a little, and even if we have to back to tavern, we can tp back in. Yeah, the contribution resets, but you at least get a second chance.

And lastly lastly, I think that pattern based bosses that actually don't allow you to cheese are a welcome thing, but again, I think that should be for actual endgame challenges with endgame worthy rewards (tho idk how about u, imo event pets are endgame content ;_;)

I think the falling hearts are a great little piece of design that made the fight more interactive and rewarding with the blue/green hearts, seeing more like that in future content would be good.

Could also be implemented like devas has extra participation points for clearers, have something give you a DPS boost for the fight if you do the right thing

fr the betacles dies so fast that i can't even swap eq between characters or run peacefully one dungeon, for 1 event boss to die, summon betales and 4 times already I tp'ed 1s before his death ;-;

I agree, Thadacles is too soft now.. The fight would be perfect if it was just reverted to the difficulty before and just include the knockback changes.

Event bosses are supposed to be more approachable for newer players. I much agree with the take earlier that if you're looking for high difficulty request it for permanent content not the event stuff

The loot rate is horrendous so far, even with the buff. ive only gotten 3 event chests 2 being reroll hearts 1 being a backpack and i already have around 530 event essence and no trace of a letter piece or gear in sight.

The idea of getting all the letter pieces in order to get the first event quest feels pretty bad..
I got all the pieces not in order because i was missing piece #2 and manage to get the pet from Aphrodite without getting the first event quests completed.. now i have to wait for the #3 to drop and then the #4 again wich feels pretty rare if you ask me.
The loots on event arent friendly with me too apparently rng hates me, i got 3 hats so far ( 1600+ essence )
