It's honestly easy to get glory and in my opinion, it doesn't make sense to make character slots obtainable by glory when we the devs (no I'm not one of the devs, but I'm saying from a developer's perspective) need money to keep the game running and to keep ourselves afloat.
Yes, it would make the game more f2p friendly but it would be a loss for the devs and the game is already f2p friendly considering that we have daily attainments in which we can get 30 gold from every day and we have shield attainments that give a significant amount of gold.
Basically, it's a bad idea
Looks good from a player's perspective but isn't good for the long run and it hurts the devs
