O, oki moving here

#

Ic, so it fails probing but keeps itself loaded. Interesting x3

#

There's actually a lot more errors than I thought

#

Uh I wonder if I should just switch back to the dist for now

#

Actually no yeah duh

slate sorrel
#

Also, do you have the firmware files

valid isle
#

I'll switch to the dist to try and get the wifi up

#

Than i can wgetpaste stuff

#

I'm waiting for it to boot since I selected the wrong kernel

#

It hangs a bit because there's a lot of usb errors for some reason too

#

USB likes breaking in fun ways

#

Like half of the stack is like 20 years old untouched

valid isle
#

Yeah and some other fun issue

#

My wallpaper uses 100% of my CPU

#

Only on the custom kernel

#

Binary it works fine

#

I wonder how badly I broke the config honestly

#

Well then

#

Even the binary kernel usb doesn't work now

#

Uh

#

Could it be a package error?

#

Oh

#

I just remembered something I did and forgot about

#

I doubt it would break stuff this much

#

But i used pip for something at one point

#

And it still doesn't see my wifi card

#

Yeah

#

And all the usb errors stuck

#

Same error driver own failed

#

Oh

#

Hold on

#

That's a weird bug if it's the case

#

But i found a reddit thread

#

It seems like a hardware issue

#

This actually kinda happened on a laptop before but with the touchpad

#

I wonder if I could fix it by doing the same thing and just unplugging the battery

#

I'll plug it back in in like 3 minutes and hope for the best I suppose

#

That did it

#

Uh

#

Idk

#

It even fixed usb

#

Uh

#

Well than

#

That's a weird bug

#

I guess I just need to figure out my CPU usage in the custom kernel now

#

How do i mark this as solved

#

Uh

# valid isle

Oh hm
That is very pain
Would need to RE the driver and add a bunch of debug prints, test if it works on other distros, etc

uh

#

i'll try the custom kernel again and see what happens

#

but this is a weird bug

#

one person said it could be a power issue
