im a simple man i see nice xmonad i updoot (altho i dont use it anymore its best x11 wm period [okay its not ion3 was better but ion3 is dead]).

I think that getting into langs like Haskell just makes you want to program more. It's quite fun

back in the day, looking at list of bugs in kde made me awnt to program much more compared to using xmonad tbh. impact is much more pronounced when you fix other people's problems, which is nice.
