been trying for a few days but cant get fprint to work with gentoo. i have a thinkpad w530, the fingerprint reader works fine on windows. on gentoo, i do fprintd-enroll, it works but when i try to verify, it always fails, every single time
im going crazy with this, anyyone had this problem before?

the wiki should prolly say that instead of instructing you to run fprint-enroll as the user

I am sure they are working on that the wiki is suprisingly bigger than it initially looks 😄

I'm surprised you got this working

#

I've had awful luck with fingerprint readers

#

Just for my curiosity can you find what device it is?

i edited so much shit and the solution was doing a different enroll
