you could consider a stable core system build. that may resolve the issues your experiencing
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64 ~amd64"

Thank you very mutch for the repy, I figured it out, i had put static but openssl needs static so i put -static and it compiled greately
I wouldnt have guessed that first hehe. static built binaries are contrary to the purpose of modularity :)
unusual as a preference at least
theres some circumstances yeah like openssl i could see being a static binary bbeing situationally advantageous
or that may be a bug too
did you find something referencing that recommendation somewhere else?
i just set it because it make my ram usage less
